Adam Laufer founded World Treehouses to use his experience and skill to help people connect with the healing medicine of nature. In addition to his love for crafting creative structures in the trees, Adam loves building good relationships—relationships with the forest, the trees, his clients, and the people he works with. He loves welcoming you into the generosity and peaceful presence of the trees and forest ecosystems by building for you and your family. Whether it’s living spaces, play spaces, meditation spaces, bridges, decks and platforms, his structures will help you spend time appreciating the profound gifts that our great, leafy friends have to offer.
Sharing the healing and wisdom of the natural, living world is Erin’s passion. One of the ways she expresses her love of forests and trees is by helping her husband, Adam, with outreach, strategy and vision for World Treehouses of Asheville, NC, helping our business to put down roots, send up branches, and bear fruit to benefit our clients. Every time we build a new treehouse, she feels satisfaction from enriching more people’s lives with a deeper connection to the great remedy that treehouses, with their unique connection to the magic of Nature, offer.
Our upcoming treehouse projects will benefit from Brandon’s considerable aerial skill and craftsmanship. His past work included running the ship at Bonsai Design. When he’s not building treehouses, he’s managing his bar, Crucible, in the River Arts District of Asheville, NC with his lovely wife, Anna, and creating beautiful custom hand-crafted furniture.
Russell has been homesteading with his family on their beautiful land throughout his life, an experience that has brought him skills in a variety of valuable projects including timbering and milling, project management, and learning the needs and moods of the land. The proud recipient, with his family, of World Treehouses’ official first treehouse project years ago, Russell has enjoyed lending his considerable skills and astute perspective to our team on several projects. His fundamental understanding of the strength of working together as a team enriches our projects.
An accomplished artist in metal and other media, Chukk’s creative and unique work is seen all over the city of Asheville in areas where people gather. As a treehouse builder, deep in the forests of Appalachia and on Asheville properties, Chukk’s work raises World Treehouses’ treehouse projects high into the sky, with minimal impact to the trees. A master creator in steel and a worker in harness, Chukk helps complete our professional team.
Ben brings his creativity to World Treehouse projects and everything he does. Building in the trees is a specialty of his, since he has built zipline canopy tours and ropes courses in several states. Ben moved to the Asheville area from Colorado where he was a climbing guide and carpenter. When he’s not building hand-crafted treehouses, he’s meditating, mountain biking, climbing, and dreaming of the next ski season out West. He lives on a 22-acre farm with goats, chickens, cows, ducks, and the occasional possum.
