Asheville NC Treehouse builders offer traditional craftsmanship in a “love letter to the forest”
Timber framing in the timbers themselves. What better way to celebrate and honor the beauty of trees than to return to the timeless craftsmanship methods of our ancestors? The majority of our current project – the Shinrin-yoku treehouse – is crafted using time-tested timber frame building techniques. This is a new skill for the World Treehouses of Asheville NC team, and we (and our clients) love the texture and solidity of this ancient builders’ art. Showcasing the wood itself, its textures and colors, the feeling of the natural world that these timbers evoke pays homage to the inner beauty and sacrifice of the trees themselves.
Do the living chestnut oaks holding our “forest bathing” treehouse sense that a treehouse designed to honor their strong gifts to humanity – our love letter to the forest – is being nestled into their sturdy branches?
