Western NC tree house builder: From the Deck of our Shinrin-Yoku Treehouse, Gaze into Nature’s Mysteries
Would you like to experience “forest bathing” from the custom wrap-around deck of your luxury treehouse? The handrail of Shinrin-Yoku, our latest completed treehouse, was crafted out of locally sourced locust trees. Persistent locust trees are sometimes considered “weed trees” because of their prevalence and invasiveness. But, when these seedlings sprout on the north side of a mountain, these trees’ wood grows strong and true. In fact, locust lumber is 2.5 times the strength of oak, and it’s rot- and insect-resistant! This powerful wood’s golden color is beautiful to behold.
Stainless cable and hand-harvested mountain laurel branches complete the details of these railings, keeping this treehouse’s occupants safe on their elevated perch among the branches.
