Rachel wanted for her treehouse to feel like a continuation of nature, with shapes and textures that were both grounded and meaningful. Despite being located in the heart of downtown, she worked with the World Treehouses team to design a space that would feel like a true natural immersion.
"Circles are such a powerful shape," she says. "Every piece of wood in the treehouse has a spiritual essence that you can feel. People say, 'Oh, this is powerful.'"
Adam and the team at World Treehouses completed a build equal parts practical and magical, with an eye toward incorporating the deep respect for nature that Rachel highly prizes. The circular windows are wrapped in a Japanese-inspired border, marrying a rustic touch with a perfectly framed shape.
"It's a still space, a serene space, a floating space," she says. She often curls up with a book or starts new writing projects while sitting near those very windows, crafted by caring hands to suit her vision.
