We build rustic-luxe treehouses in Asheville, NC, Western NC beyond. We also create a variety of tree-based projects including suspension bridges, open air pavilions, tree decks, high-quality playhouses, and custom access solutions for hard-to-reach natural areas. Of course, our team has a thorough understanding of the details of heavy duty, safely engineered treehouse design and treehouse construction, plus the technical skills to use rope and pulley systems to navigate building in the trees. (Our company came to be because owner Adam Laufer combined two previous careers building both homes and zip lines.) We also have a deep appreciation for our clients, their families, and their dreams. Our treehouses are functional works of art and impeccable craftsmanship: they are natural, beautiful structures for playing, working, dreaming, healing, meditating, romancing, or gathering with friends and family. Need a relaxing break from the workaday world? Want a special space to entertain? Does your heart long to play and dream again with the beloved children in your life, or your own inner child? Our designers take time to understand your wants and needs, as well as anything specific you might want to incorporate. Among other amenities, we have folded into our designs some distinct elements such as historic mill flooring, salvaged architectural windows, handmade railings and stairways from trees on the property, a copper Japanese soaking bath, and high-end custom European windows and folding glass doors. We are custom treehouse builders who go above and beyond in every way.

BRIDGES

We can connect you! We build suspension bridges across water, between trees, or between a home and a tree. Our treehouse designs are borne of thoughtful consideration for every aspect of your site, style, family, and anticipated usage, beginning from the moment you leave your “everyday” home and take a step toward the treehouse building on your Western NC property. Bridges, walkways, decks and stairs are an integral part of the experience of your backyard treehouse, so we design them as such. What’s your fancy: A stately, static bridge? An adventurous rope bridge? Something inspired by another culture or a fairy-tale? A romantic combination?

PLATFORMS & SPECIAL PROJECTS

Access that perfect swimming hole that’s hard to get to. Entertain friends in an open-air “bird’s nest” pavilion. Climb up to a tree platform to camp, hang out and get away from it all.
