Our official name for this treehouse is Shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing”). Forest bathing is a Japanese therapy of healing by immersion in quiet time with trees and forests.

Since the maple tree had to be cut away, the World Treehouses team honored this beautiful tree by meticulously debarking it and installing as the strong column supporting the ladder to the upstairs bedroom. It is a centerpiece for the treehouse’s main floor.
